Books & DVDs
Rainy day blues or in need of inspiration?

Drop into Kiwibikes anytime and we’ll usually have some of the latest mountain biking magazines (and why wouldn’t we – the latest issues of these three magazines all feature Rotorua riders and trails!).

The Kennett Brothers have done New Zealand’s sporting history a real service with these books. You may not recognise some of these names but after reading the books you’ll never forget them.
As well as these New Zealand riders’ own fascinating stories (and amazing feats), these books bring to life a time when cycling was very different. Ride with Harry Watson as he races the Tour de France’s 400km+ stages that start at midnight and cross the alps without nights; learn how poor Maori boy Bill Pratney could go pro, back in the days of ‘the cashies’; and marvel at how a you could once expect to see 40,000 people turn out to watch track cycling in New Zealand.
We’re proud to stock these wonderful books by the Kennett Brothers, although they’re always quick to sell out – so just ask us if you can’t see them in-store, and we’ll order them in.

Plus we have stacks of DVDs! (there’s only so much YouTube a person can watch after all!)
