Staff at Kiwibikes
Jeff Anderson
The buck stops with me! I’m the owner / operator of Kiwibikes, working in the cycle trade since 1981. I was trained in frame building at McLean Manufacturing in Wanganui in 1982 and thought “this will do for a while” – 3o years on, am I still wondering what I want to do? NOT REALLY!
I am very passionate about the cycle trade. I also love the people that come my way because of cycling – in fact I think of the shop as being all about cyclists, not just the bikes. I am still building Jeffson bike frames every day. Every frame I build feels like a piece of art when finished, and often I feel sad when the customer takes it away.
Craig Pattle
Craig started MTB racing in 1998, racing downhill at a national level and eventually winning everything there was to win in New Zealand in his best season as a junior in 2003. Later that year he started racing internationally, spending the next eight years racing downhill in Europe, competing in five World Championships and even more World Cup events. Craig got onto the NZ BMX team in 2009 which unfortunately lead to an injury which put him off the bike for over a year. Now he’s older, wiser, and has even got a haircut and a real job (if working at Kiwibikes can be considered work) – but he’s still racing when he can, having just come third in the 2011 Triple Crown and first in the Spring Fling!
